It is difficult to imagine Edwin leaving his family and friends to begin a new life. It would be quite an event to orchestrate and if he was suffering with mental illness it would not have gone so well there would have been slip ups along the way.
What if he was threatened and told his family would be harmed perhaps this would have driven him to run? Seems like by now he would have reached back out to us.
There is a term used by psychologists called an ” identity crisis” . Is this what caused him to leave? .
We continue to trace down an address showing for Edwin in Center Texas from 1994. As of now we still have no evidence it was him or is him. His social security number , date of birth and name were on 2000 flyers back in the 80’s and 90’s. It is possible someone tried to use his identity. As one investigator put it to me if Edwin wanted to stay hidden why would he use his real name.
